Gluten-Free Porridge with Yoghurt, Blackberry & Blueberry Compote

This gluten-free porridge recipe is so easy to make yet so comforting. Try it for your next breakfast. All you have to do is prepare the blackberry and blueberry compote beforehand and your porridge will come together in 10 minutes. For the porridge:

*Swap with plant-based alternatives to make it vegan.

For the compote:

  • 100g (frozen) blackberries
  • 100g (frozen) blueberries
  • 1-2 tbsp cane sugar (adjust according to taste)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice


Step 1: Prepare the blackberry and blueberry compote

Mix all the compote ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer over low heat and keep stirring until the fruits are softened and the juice has thickened.

Step 2: Prepare your porridge

Stir the mixture well until the porridge is evenly distributed in the liquid.

Remove from the heat once you achieve that nice, creamy consistency (typically within 5-7 minutes).

Pour your porridge into a bowl.

Step 3: Garnish

Now, get ready to take it to the next level.

Spread a spoonful of yoghurt on the porridge. For the finishing touch, top with blackberry and blueberry compote. This will add a dash of sweetness and tanginess to the indulgent, chocolatey porridge.
