Why Turtle Power Granola Nuts & Seeds?

This nut and seed granola is oven-toasted with a hint of sweet agave syrup. It's entirely grain-free, full of energy, and so delicious. Think of it as trail mix in granola form. It's a fun and tasty way to include more nuts, seeds and healthy fats in your diet. If you prefer traditional granola or different flavours, try other products from our granola range. Mix and match, and most importantly, have fun!

Here's how you prepare it:

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate base: Place a bar of white chocolate on a sheet of parchment paper.

  2. Melt the chocolate: Gently melt the chocolate in a preheated oven, in the microwave or use the double-boiler method.* Make sure to melt slowly at a low temperature.

  3. Spread the chocolate: Using a knife or spatula, carefully spread the melted chocolate onto the parchment paper to create a thin, even layer.

  4. Add some crunch: While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle a generous amount of Turtle Granola and a handful of pretzels over the top.

  5. Let it cool: Let the chocolate cool completely until it hardens, or place it in the fridge or freezer until it's set.

  6. Slice and enjoy: Once the chocolate is fully hardened, slice it into smaller pieces and enjoy!

How to melt the chocolate*
To melt chocolate using a microwave, place the chocolate bar on a parchment paper and on a microwave-safe dish. Alternatively, you can break the chocolate into pieces and add the pieces to a microwave-safe dish. Heat it on medium power for 20-30 seconds. Stir gently with a knife and repeat in short intervals until smooth.

If you're using an oven, preheat to 110°C (230°F) and place the chocolate on parchment paper on a baking tray. Let it melt for a few minutes. Make sure to check often to prevent it from burning.

Another option is to use the double-boiler method. Place the chocolate on parchment paper in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir until fully melted.

Storing the leftovers

You can keep the leftovers in a fridge or at cool room temperature for up to a week. To store it for longer, you can also keep it in the fridge for a couple more weeks.

Flavour variations

The recipe has 3 ingredients, but you can always add more toppings of your choice. Feel free to mix and match! You can add dried fruit like raisins, cranberries, and other nuts and seeds. Why not also try adding your favourite Turtle Cereals into the mix?
