Decorated with playful monster eyes, they are guaranteed to be a hit with children and grown-ups alike.

Serves: 3

INGREDIENTS

6 Medjool dates, soaked in boiling water for 15 minutes

150g Turtle Chocolate and Banana Porridge

1 tbsp peanut butter

1 square of dark melted chocolate

White chocolate chips

Cocoa powder for coating

A little water

MAKE YOUR SPOOKY BALLS LIKE THIS

  1. Soak the dates in boiling water for 15 minutes. Drain the dates.
  2. Blend the mixture. Add the dates, the porridge flakes, peanut butter, salt, and a splash of water into a blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Shape the balls. With slightly damp hands, roll the mixture into nine evenly sized balls.
  4. Coat the balls. Roll each ball in cocoa powder until fully coated.
  5. Create the monster eyes. Press white chocolate chips into each ball to make the eyes. Using a wooden toothpick, add a small dot of melted dark chocolate to each chip to create a pupil.
  6. Serve and enjoy. Let your spooky balls cool down for a few minutes before serving.

Make it your own: For a slightly different twist, roll the balls in shredded coconut instead of cocoa powder. For an extra spooky touch, decorate the balls with funny face expressions.

Bring a little magic to your Halloween celebrations with Turtle Chocolate and Banana Porridge.
