Easy and Creative Loom Craft for Kids

What you need
- An empty cereals box
- A pair of scissors
- A pencil
- Woolen threads
How to proceed
Step 1: Start by cutting out and saving one side of the cereal box. This will be the loom base.
Step 2: Using a pencil, draw 11 vertical lines on the box, spaced evenly apart. These lines will guide your weaving threads.
Step 3: Cut two centimeters off both ends of each vertical line to create the slots that will hold the white thread in place.
Step 4: Take a white thread and place it on the vertical lines, looping it into the slots at both ends to keep it secure. This forms the warp, the threads that stay in place while weaving.
Step 5: Cut a piece of cardboard in the shape of an arrow, and create a small slit at the end of the tip. This will be used to pass the colored thread through the warp threads.
Step 6: Take a coloured thread, wedge it into the slit of your cardboard arrow, and begin passing it over and under the white warp threads. Repeat this process, alternating the over-and-under pattern with each pass.
