Organic Rolled Oats Jumbo 100% organic︱Source of Fibre and Protein︱Vegan

Oats are the foundation of everything breakfast. You can eat it straight with milk, heat it to make porridge, cook it to make a batch of granola, make homemade oat milk, use it in baking and the list goes on. Versatile and always useful, our large organic wholemeal oats are essential.

Wholegrain means that the whole grain is preserved with all its qualities. The outer layer of the grain is called the "bran", it contains protein, vitamin B and fiber. The interior of the grain of grain is called "the endosperm", it is starchy and satiating. The third component, an inner core, is called the " germe ". The germ contains vitamins and essential fatty acids and antioxidants.

The fiber content is 12 g/100 g and the protein content is 14 g/100 g. So these little white things are a powerful and healthy way to start the day !

Rolled means that the grain has been flattened by passing between 2 rollers. Nothing else is done to the grain, thus keeping all the natural properties of this extraordinary plant. Thanks to rolling, we can eat the grains as they are, whereas whole grains would break our teeth. It is also much faster to cook: 5 to 10 minutes for a warm and creamy porridge.

As always, Turtle products are organic. Organic isn't perfect, but it's an important step in the right direction and certainly a must in any quality product. Organic farming is more respectful for our environment and our biodiversity: for other plants, insects, animals and our water tables. You won't find pesticide residue in your Turtle Rolled Oats, as is unfortunately often the case with conventional products.

Oats are naturally gluten free. But due to contact with other cereals (proximity to fields, same harvesting machines, storage in the same warehouses, etc.), a bag of oats often contains a few grains of wheat, barley and rye. The amount of gluten is probably low, but we advise people with celiac disease to choose our oatmeal certified gluten free.

Our responses to your questions

Wholegrain oats means that you keep the whole grain. Therefore it retains the bran, endosperm, and germ, preserving their qualities. That makes wholegrain oats richer in nutrients such as protein, vitamin B, fiber, vitamins, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. They are a more wholesome and natural choice.

Rolled oats, also known as old-fashioned oats, are whole oat groats that have been steamed and then flattened with large rollers to create flattened flakes. This process makes them easier and quicker to cook than whole oats. Rolled oats retain most of their natural nutritional value and are a popular choice for making porridge, granola, and baked goods. They can be used in a variety of dishes and provide a hearty, nutritious base for breakfast cereals and recipes.
